New India (Turning to Roots, Rising to heights), India Ideas Conclave

What a brilliantly organized 6th India Ideas Conclave on theme of “New India: Turning to Roots, Rising to Heights” by young and dynamic team of India Foundation under leadership of Shri RamMadhav ji.

I got an opportunity to attend this 3 day residential conclave that focuses on the issues, challenges and opportunities of the Indian polity. It was a get together of policy makers and public intellectuals from India and abroad. Over 400 invited intellectuals, including government and corporate leaders, scholars, journalists, politicians and social activists participate in this important conclave where ideas and opinions are exchanged in a candid and scholarly atmosphere.

The 6th India Ideas Conclave 2020 was organized in Tent City Narmada, Gujarat (28th Feb, 29th Feb & 1st Mar). The central theme of this year’s Conclave is: ‘New India: Turning to Roots, Rising to Heights’.

I was invited to attend same as delegate and got opportunity to interact with journalists, media persons, leaders like Shri Jai Shankar Ji (foreign minister), Bhupendra Yadav ji and eminent political personalities from Kashmir and Leh too. This event was attended by Joint National general secretary Shri Krishna Gopal Ji as well.

India has always been pioneered both spiritual and scientific leaders in worldwide and have birthplace for hundreds of languages, art forms and traditions. Our values are rooted ancient Indian culture ethos. Despite centuries of invasions and cultural vandalism, the people of India have never deterred from fighting back and asserting their identity.

Few of my favorite sessions were “Shri RamJanamBhoomi : The Future Vision” and “New RoadMap to New Union Territories”.

Yes, We are committed to have our “Sapno Ka Bharat” or “Bharat of our Dreams” again by 2022. We all are going to witness and would be stakeholders in movement of development for our country. We are not committed only for voting or winning elections, but we as citizens are enthusiastic enough for nation-building. We can’t aspire to build a New India that is disconnected from our ancient values and traditions. We all discussed how we are going to turn to our roots, and would be rising to heights.
